Catalyst Crime is an international cinematic symphonic metal band founded in 2017 by Arizona vocalist Zoë Marie Federoff and ex-Xandria drummer Gerit Lamm. Completed by orchestral keyboardist Jonah Weingarten (Pyramaze), guitarists Kaelen Sarakinis and Chena Roxx, and bassist Matt Federoff, the band’s self-titled debut (2021) was produced by Alexander Krull (Leaves’ Eyes) at Mastersound Studios, Stuttgart, and earned widespread acclaim. Signed to Massacre Records, they undertook their first European tour in 2024 alongside Leaves’ Eyes. A highly anticipated second album is due in 2026, previewed by the powerful single Cursebreaker. Their sound blends symphonic grandeur, progressive metal and cinematic orchestral scoring.
